3rd place in the EDCOM Graduation Competition. Congratulation to Ing. Nikol Peterská!
The Department of International Business has the pleasure to share the success of Ing. Nikol Peterská, the fresh graduate of the Master’s programme: International Business, who succeeded in the Edcom Graduation Competition which awards the best bachelor and master theses related to commercial communication or advertising. Nikol won 3rd place in the “Master Category” with her Master´s thesis on “Brand Characters’ Influence on Perceived Brand Personality”.
In her Master‘s thesis under the supervision of Ing. Petr Kral, Ph.D., the head of the Department of Intrenational Business she dealt with revealing the relationship between brand mascots and perceived brand personality. She investigated the differences between how human and animal mascots are perceived – specifically she studied the following mascots: mascots of Alza, ČSOB, Moneta Money Bank, and Air Bank. The thesis provides new insights into research on the role of mascots and formulates recommendations for marketers. You can read the thesis HERE.
Nikol sums up her experience with the competition as follows: “The competition is not too time-consuming, creating the poster is fun and similar to preparing for your defense. If you are writing a thesis in marketing, commercial communication, or advertising, definitely, go for it. Good luck!”
