The course 2IB468 Ethics in Finance aims to raise students’ awareness about possible ethical challenges firms, managers and employees face when thinking about financial laws and enforcement. The scope of unethical behaviors covers market abuses such as price manipulation, insider trading, and communication of false information (in particular accounting frauds). The ultimate goal of this Ethics in Finance course is to prepare students for what to do when facing ethical dilemmas along their careers. The course is supervised by Laure Sabine Marie de Batz de Trenquelléon, Ph.D., MSc., who specializes in financial economics, specifically market responses to fraud and regulation.
