Škoda Auto in the International Marketing Course: Top Team Presentations
The Department of International Business is pleased to share that in the summer semester of 2024/2025, the successful collaboration between Škoda Auto and the International Marketing course (2MO401/2MO431) continued. Throughout the semester, students worked in teams on projects assigned by Škoda Auto. They could choose from a range of topics, including “Young Everyday Explorers,” “Online Sales,” focused on marketing strategies targeting younger generations, or proposals for entering new markets such as Vietnam or India.
On May 21st, 2025, the top four teams (selected from over 25 teams comprising 100 students) were invited to present their work at Škoda Auto. These presentations were delivered not only to fellow students and course instructors but also to Škoda Auto’s management. The event was opened by Ing. Martin Jahn (Member of the Board of Škoda Auto), and students received feedback from representatives of International Sales Management, Marketing Czech Republic, and the Global Marketing Departments.
One of the presenting students, Irina Geraschenko, evaluated the project as follows: „One of the key strengths of our university, in my opinion, is the opportunity to collaborate with global corporations. By working with teams from various corporate companies, students not only apply their knowledge in practice but also gain a unique chance to look inside the organizational environment — to see how companies operate, how processes are structured, and what interpersonal relationships look like. This experience can play a significant role when choosing a future workplace. I am truly grateful to our university for creating such bridges between education and real business experience.“
In addition to receiving constructive feedback, the best teams were awarded certificates and gifts from Škoda Auto a.s.
Students can look forward to more exciting projects prepared by Škoda Auto’s marketing department in the upcoming 2025/2026 academic year.
Congratulations to all members of the winning teams!
Many thanks to all involved in the organisation.
The International Marketing course (2MO401) is a mandatory course within the International Trade study program and the minor specialization “International Business Strategies” (under the code 2MO521). Seminars are conducted in English in mixed groups of Czech and international students (course code 2MO432). A key component of the course is always a team project developed in collaboration with a corporate partner, addressing real-world business challenges.
