New Book Published: Managing Supply Chain Disruptions: Central European Perspective
We are pleased to share the news that the monograph titled Managing Supply Chain Disruptions: Central European Perspective, written by Dr Eva Křenková, the Deputy Head of the Department of International Business, has been published. It defines basic terms in the field of supply chain management and supply chain risk management.
Compared to other monographs, it identifies theoretical approaches to the study of supply chain resilience and practical approaches to the identification of supply chain risks. The book gives examples of potential sources of supply chain disruptions relevant to the Central European region. Proactive and reactive measures are the main tools utilized to minimize the impact of disruptions.
The book contains practical examples of strategic and tactical decisions adopted by companies operating in Central Europe to increase resilience. The macroeconomic perspective is applied to the study of the supply chain vulnerability of manufacturing industries in Central European countries.
Ing. Eva Křenková, Ph.D., is the Deputy Head of the Department of International Business and the guarantor of the course Doing Business in Globalized Environment taught in English. She also teaches the course International Business Operations in Czech and English. Her research focuses mainly on supply chain management and international transport of goods. She is the author of the monograph Managing Supply Chain Disruptions: Central European Perspective. She presents her findings at international conferences and is involved in national and international research projects. Her latest research project was the Shift to Electric Car Production: National Strategies in Central and Eastern Europe, which was preceded by the project GVCs in Central Europe – A Perspective of Automotive Sector after COVID-19 implemented by an international team with the support of the Visegrad Fund.
