Prestigious ´Mexicanos Distinguidos´ Award for Dr. Andrea Escobar Rios

The Department of International Business is pleased to announce the exceptional piece of news that our colleague Dr. Andrea Escobar Rios has received the prestigious Mexicanos Distinguidos Award.

The ´Mexicanos Distinguidos´ award is one of the highest official distinctions that a Mexican citizen living abroad can receive. It is awarded by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior – IME) and is only given to those who have made significant contributions to the promotion of Mexican culture, science, business or community involvement in another country.

The award is very prestigious and reflects the commitment of the Mexican government to recognize citizens abroad who contribute to a positive image of Mexico and to strengthening bilateral cultural and academic ties.

In the case of our colleague Dr. Andrea Escobar Rios, it is an official award from the Mexican state with full diplomatic support.

It internationally validates her artistic, academic and cultural career and places her among a select group of Mexicans who act as cultural ambassadors, thus strengthening her artistic and academic profile. It will allow her future collaboration with the Mexican Embassy and other Mexican and European institutions, as the award is officially recorded in her professional file within the IME. It represents international recognition of Mexico for her work and cultural contribution in the Czech Republic.
