Success of VŠE Students in the POPAI Student Awards 2025

The Department of International Business is delighted to share that the results of the prestigious POPAI AWARDS, recognising the best retail in-store marketing concepts, were announced during the international event POPAI DAY 2025. The competition and award ceremony took place on Thursday, 27 November 2025 at the O2 universum Congress Centre in Prague.

In the category In-Store Communication Campaign Concept for Coca-Cola Cherry targeting Generation Z, based on a brief provided by Coca-Cola HBC Czech Republic and Slovakia, VŠE students Václav Pavlů and Karolína Štaflová from the Faculty of International Relations achieved 2nd place with their project titled “There’s only one original — but many flavours.”

The overall winner of the category was Anna Darebníčková from the Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Faculty of Multimedia Communications. This achievement by our students sets a new goal for the next edition of the competition to return to the top position.

A total of 14 teams from five universities participated in the POPAI Student Awards 2025, with three teams representing VŠE. Our students prepared case studies for the competition as part of the course Brand Management and Account Management, taught within the Commercial Communication minor at the Department of International Business, Faculty of International Relations.

The POPAI STUDENT AWARD is part of a long-standing cooperation between POPAI Central Europe and students from secondary and higher education institutions. The 2025 edition marked the 19th year of the competition.

Congratulations to our students on their excellent performance!
