Food waste: Members of the Department of International Business in the podcast of the magazine Přítomnost

One of the research teams of the Department of International Business has long been dealing with the issue of food waste. Two of its members, Ing. Veronika Mokrejšová, Ph.D. and Ing. Jiří Zeman, Ph.D., therefore accepted the invitation to the magazine Přítomnost and in a twenty-minute podcast summarized the basic motivations of the inhabitants of the developed world to avoid food waste: economic, ecological and moral.

Veronika Mokrejšová and Jiří Zeman work at the Department of International Business, at the Faculty of International Relations of the Prague University of Economics and Business. In their research and pedagogical activities, they deal primarily with retail issues with an emphasis on the topic of food. Since 2014, they have focused their scientific research activities in a narrow specialized team on the topic of food waste. Ing. Veronika Mokrejšová, Ph.D. lectures e.g. : 2OP205 Retail Business and 2MO446 Food Waste – Implications for International Business. Ing. Jiří Zeman, Ph.D. aside the mentioned 2OP205 Retail Business, lectures also, for example, 2OP354 Supply Chain Management and 2OP543 Brand Management and Account Management.
