Sustainable Work Environment and Home Office: “CEO Event Series” by Arthur Hunt Czech Republic
Interest in the topic of sustainable HR and sustainable work environment is currently evident both on the academic side and on the side of practice. The department is pleased to share that two colleagues from the Department of International Business (Ing. Mgr. Petr Procházka, Ph.D. and Ing. Jitka Volfová, Ph.D.) had the opportunity to participate in the networking of executives of Czech companies and Czech representative offices/branches of international companies on 14 November 2024. These meetings, titled “CEO Event Series”, are organized by the Arthur Hunt Czech Republic in the beautiful premises of the Czech-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Prague, always on a selected current topic. Namely, Laurent Laval is the initiator of those professional meetings which decision-makers and the CEO community enjoy visiting to share and exchange their best practices.
This time, over 60 managing directors took place in the meeting with a closer title: “How is the home office impacting the team dynamic” which was devoted to current challenges in the field of HR Management with the aim of creating a sustainable work environment. Company representatives shared their experiences and opinions on how to set up the best mix of remote work/home office and in-person attendance at the office so that the teamwork is efficient, employees are satisfied at work, and their personal development is ensured. Everyone contributed their point of view based on their own specific environment, industry and company culture.
The very fruitful discussion was a valuable inspiration not only for the participants but also for the Department of International Business. Ing. Jitka Volfová, Ph.D. is currently dealing with this topic in her research.
We hereby thank the organizer and look forward to the next occasion to meet.
