International Marketing Communication 2MO403/2MO506
Projects prepared in cooperation with our corporate partners are one of the crucial parts in the course International Marketing Communication. In the past, these projects were based, for example, on cooperation with ŠKODA AUTO, the Czech Association for Rare Diseases or Plzeňský Prazdroj, for whose brands students tried to define international communication strategy. In addition to academic staff, projects are directly evaluated also by representatives of the cooperating companies. Therefore, students can get very insightful feedback. The course is taught in English for both Czech and foreign students, and students can gain experience with international team work.
International Marketing 2MO401
The aim of the course International Marketing is to acquaint students with current marketing trends. An integral part of this course is also application of these trends and other acquired knowledge to practice through a whole-semester project. As a part of this marketing project, students usually work out an analysis of the international business environment, carry out marketing research and, based on the findings, make up a marketing mix. In recent semesters, the Department of International Business cooperated with 3M Česko, whose marketers presented the projects to students in the beginning of each semester, and then consulted students on any difficulties students faced. The most successful teams presented their proposals at a joint meeting of the company representatives and academic staff in the end of the semester. High quality of projects is also underlined by the fact that many of them succeeded also in the Excellent Student’s Professional Work Competition organized by the University of Economics in Prague.
Business Project 2MO500
The course Business Project, which is a part of the minor specialization International Finance and Business, is focused on connection of acquired theoretical skills with corporate practice. Students work on real projects in accordance with assignments of our corporate partners under the supervision of an academic as well as a company tutor. At the end of the semester, teams present their results to representatives of assigning companies and to academic staff of the Prague University of Economics and Business. In recent years, students had a chance to cooperate, for example, with the Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation or with Europasta SE.
