The department of International business is happy to share the information that from 27 to 31 May 2024, the Varna University of Management hosted a blended intensive program (BIP) named “Advanced Data Analytics.” The Department of International Business internally addressed over 200 students who studied the International Business Operations course and selected four students interested in participating in the program. The students received a financial contribution from the Erasmus+ funds amounting to 490 EUR. Two of the students decided to share their experience with the physical component of this BIP:

Yeva Husieva remarks: “My experience with BIP in Bulgaria was amazing. The topic “Advanced Data Analytics” was very interesting and rewarding. I learned a lot of new techniques and methods that I can use in my future projects. In addition to studying, I also enjoyed the beautiful environment and pleasant weather in Albena. I also had the opportunity to meet and work with people from different countries, which was very inspiring. Overall, it was a great experience that opened up new possibilities and perspectives for me.”

Šárka Brunclíková comments: “As FIR students, we participated in the “Advanced Data Analytics” blended intensive program at the Varna University of Management in the Bulgarian city of Varna. Throughout the week, we had the opportunity to draw interesting information from Professor Peter Ganev’s lectures on business intelligence, data warehousing or big data. Another part of the program focused on tools and data interpretation for digital marketing, HR and financial analysis. VUM also prepared a lecture on intercultural communication for us, which was hosted by Dr. Nedka Dimitrova. We also had the opportunity to meet program participants from Serbia, Moldova, Poland or Bulgaria, with whom we enjoyed the beauty of the Black Sea and the resort in Albena. We also visited the city of Nessebar, which is registered on the UNESCO cultural heritage list.”

This BIP is not finished yet, there will be a follow-up set of virtual sessions. The Department of International Business is delighted to hear the stuents´reflections and thanks the Varna University of Management for its warm acceptance of the students. The Department plans to repeat this activity and send students to another BIP once such an opportunity occurs.
