Young Food Waste Fighters: Join the International foodCIRCUS Poster Challenge

We would like to invite your school to participate in the international creative competition foodCIRCUS Young Food Waste Fighters Poster Challenge, designed for pupils from Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Hungary, and Poland. The aim of the competition is to raise awareness of food waste and to promote sustainable approaches to food consumption.

The competition is part of the foodCIRCUS project, which collaborates with schools across Central Europe to reduce food waste and support circular solutions within school catering systems. Food waste represents a significant environmental and social challenge, and schools play a key role in educating the younger generation about responsible consumption and sustainability.

Through this competition, pupils are encouraged to express their ideas and creativity by designing a poster that highlights the importance of reducing food waste and using food resources more efficiently.

How to participate

Participation in the competition is simple:

  • pupils create a poster on the topic of food waste prevention,
  • submissions must be sent by 30 April 2026 in accordance with the instructions provided on the competition website.

The three best posters will be selected through online voting by an international jury, and their authors will receive attractive prizes.
