Scientific Business Hackathon 2nd Edition

The Department of International Business is pleased to share that from 9 to 15 June 2026, the second edition of the program titled “Scientific Business Hackathon”, developed by our colleague and partially sponsored by the Faculty of International Relations, took place.

On 7 June 2026, two students of the Faculty of International Relations, together with our aforementioned colleague, departed for Georgia, where they met four students from the partner institution, the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), on 9 June.

On 10 June 2026, the six students and the organiser continued to Yerevan, Armenia, where the main part of the program was hosted by the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE). Four ASUE students joined the team there. Before arriving in Yerevan, the group made a short stop in Gyumri, where ASUE has a branch campus. In Gyumri, local staff welcomed the participants travelling from Tbilisi to Yerevan, showed them the educational premises, and guided them through the city centre. Also, a small snack was offered.

From 11 to 15 June 2026, the ten participating students, working in several subgroups, developed the orientation of a future scientific paper and conducted more than 40 indepth interviews.

After the conclusion of this intensive program, several participants will continue working for a number of weeks on completing the intended publication.

The Department of International Business on behalf of the Faculty of International Relations, Prague University of Economics and Business expresses its gratitude to ASUE for their hospitality, warm welcome, and the complimentary program prepared for the 11member group.

The Faculty also thanks GIPA for their involvement in this initiative.
