Škoda Auto and Best Team Projects in the International Marketing Course

The successful cooperation with the company Škoda Auto a.s. within the course International Marketing 2MO401/2MO431 continued also in the summer semester 2023. Students worked throughout the semester in teams on projects assigned by Škoda Auto. They could choose one from many project assignments covering various topics such as the target group of young people or electromobility and strategies for entering potentially interesting new markets.

The best teams were invited to present the results of their work on January 12th, 2023, not only to other students and the teachers of the course, Ing. Peter Král, Ph.D., Ing. Markéta Lhotáková, Ph.D., Andrea Escobar Ríos, Doctora en Ciencias and Ing. Květa Olšanová, Ph.D., but also to representatives of Škoda Auto: Petr Janeba (Head of International Sales Steering) and Libor Šedivák (Head of Marketing in the Czech Republic).

Presentations of the best projects took place on the premises of Škoda Auto in Prague. The students demonstrated their ability to work in international teams, conduct extensive market research and bring interesting ideas, many of which, according to Škoda Auto representatives, will definitely be usefull in practice.

The winning teams were made up of the following students: František Hendl, Jakub Ivanov, Natálie Mrzílková, Matěj Růžička, Adam Antonín, Marie Balášová, Michaela Bartoňová, Truong Phuong Thanh, Mikoláš Dušek, Do Xuan Truong, Tereza Hortová, Denis Gažík, Jana Fišerová, Lucie Němečková, Klára Mikulincová, Vojtěch Novotný, Tereza Fendrychová, Denisa Krejzlíková, Michael Pilát, Kateřina Salivarová and Valeriia Tsap. In addition to the valuable feedback, they also received gifts from the company Škoda Auto.

Students can look forward to the next interesting projects prepared by Škoda Auto again in the winter semester 2023.

Congratulations to all members of the winning teams!

The course International Marketing 2MO401 is a compulsory course within the study program International Trade and the minor specialization International Business Strategies (under the ident 2MO521). Seminars are taught in English in mixed groups of Czech and international students. An important part of the course is always a team project developed in cooperation with a corporate partner, in which students solve a real task from a business environment.
