Colleagues from the Department of International Business in the Jury of the High Schools Business Challenge

Members of the Department of International Business were again invited to take part in the High School Business Challenge competition as judges, this time in the national round, which took place on  May 26-28, 2023. The participants (secondary school students) had to solve several tasks (case studies), the results of which they submitted not only as a written report but also presented in front of the jury. As judges Doc. Ing. Zuzana Křečková Kroupová, M.A., Ph.D., Ing. Veronika Mokrejšová, Ph.D., and Ing. Jitka Volfová, Ph.D. accepted the invitation this time.

The two best teams from the national round were selected to represent the Czech Republic in the international finals, which will be held on July 4-8, 2023.

The competition is aimed at high school students in Central and Eastern Europe who face entrepreneurial challenges over three stages, where they have the opportunity to test and develop their knowledge and creativity and gain experience in business. During the competition, students can participate in specialized workshops related to banking, consulting, or insurance. Participants of the international finals, in which the best teams from Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and the Czech Republic compete, which will take place in Warsaw, have the opportunity to receive a prize from a prize fund of 6 000 euro.

The competition is organized by the student organization SKOK in cooperation with the Polish student club European Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development and student associations in Slovakia and Hungary. The competition is also supported by the Visegrad Fund and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic.

In addition, the Faculty of International Relations will reward the most successful participants with admission to the Bachelor’s program in International Business or the Bachelor’s program in Tourism and Hospitality Management without entrance exams.
