The Department of International Business Welcomes new Ph.D. Students

The Department of International Business is pleased to welcome and briefly introduce its new PhD students.

• Ing. Petr Juriš and Ing. Viktoria Šenkárčin started their doctoral studies with the support of their postgraduate studies supervisor, doc. Ing. Přemysl Průša, Ph.D.:
  

Ing. Petr Juriš is our new external Ph.D. student. He graduated with a master’s degree in International Business at FIR (Faculty of International Relations) VŠE (Prague University of Economics and Business) in 2023. As part of his doctoral studies, he focuses on the issue of luxury marketing applied in the air transport industry, which he has been interested in for a long time. At the same time, he is employed at Prague Airport in the internal audit and compliance department.

Ing. Viktorie Šenkárčin is our new internal Ph.D. student. She is a graduate of the Prague University of Economics and Business, Faculty of International Relations, majoring in International Trade. Already during her master’s studies, she joined the company Plzeňský Prazdroj, where she still works today. She is dedicated to trade marketing, especially new trends in this industry. The Ph.D. thesis is focused on the development and changes in consumer behavior on the beer market.

• Ing. Václava Kloudová Jiřičková started her doctoral studies with the support of her postgraduate studies supervisor, doc. Ing. Zuzana Křečková Kroupová, M.A., Ph.D.:
  

Ing. Václava Kloudová Jiřičková is returning to her Alma Mater – after 25 years of business career – to study organizational culture – specifically the phenomenon of Psychological Safety. This phenomenon supports the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs – 8. Decent Work and Economic Growth). Also, it has a demonstrable positive effect on accelerating innovation, work efficiency and strengthens inclusive environments in organizations. Psychological Safety is Václava´s primary professional focus as she works as a consultant, lecturer and coach at her company Winsight, where she supports the setting of the Psychologically Safe environment in organizations.
