AI in Business Workshop by Ondřej Vaněk

On Tuesday, April 9, more than 30 students took part in the interactive workshop about practical applications of AI in Business held by Ondřej Vaněk, CEO of Blindspot.AI.

In this workshop, the following questions were answered:

  • What is AI Generative AI?
  • Where to use AI in business?
  • What are successful examples of using GenAI in business?
  • How does Generative AI work on the technical side?
  • What is AI’s legislative and ethical framework?
  • Is AI taking our jobs?
  • What is the future of AI?

Apart from that Ondřej Vaněk has presented many interesting examples of the utilization of AI in automotive manufacturers, such as Škoda Auto, e-commerce at Czech e-shops with groceries, and how to use AI to reduce criminal behaviour in Los Angeles.

The prg.ai initiative, of which Blindspot A.I. is also a member, was founded in 2019 by a group of academics from the Czech Technical University in Prague, Charles University and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic with a significant contribution from the capital city of Prague, with the vision of fully utilizing the local potential and transforming Prague in the European centre of artificial intelligence.

Blindspot.AI is a dynamic and globally operating software company based in Prague. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Adastra Group. It employs top software engineers with experience from companies like Oracle, Amazon, Facebook and other tech giants. Her colleagues and staff have PhD degrees (mathematics, AI, computer science) from Cambridge, Imperial College and similar universities. This makes it a strong team with many competencies and can solve different business problems and cases using AI and ML. Ing. Mgr. Tomáš Sadílek, Ph.D., has been working at the Prague University of Economics and Business since 2015 (full-time since 2018.) Prior to joining the university, he worked as a sales representative and sales engineer at ŽDB Wire Mill and Mitsubishi Electric Europe. He focuses on the issues of consumer behaviour, retailing and social and sustainable entrepreneurship, which are devoted to research and teaching in Czech and English programs. He has been working as a visiting professor at partner universities abroad (USA, China, France, Italy, Israel, Austria, Germany, Spain, Sweden). Tomáš is a supervisor of qualification theses focused on the issue of consumer behaviour in various applications and on the issue of social and sustainable busines.
